Kanban Board
Definition: A visual project-management view with cards moving across columns (e.g., To Do → Doing → Done).
What it is
A kanban board is a project visualization where work items are cards arranged in columns by status. Originating in Toyota's manufacturing process, kanban became a default UI for software task management thanks to Trello, Jira, and now every modern project tool. Kanban is excellent for in-flight work visibility and bottleneck detection.
Why it matters
Kanban is the most-used project view for small teams because it's visual, low-ceremony, and works for any kind of work (not just software).
