White-Glove Migration

Definition: A vendor-led data import service where the vendor's team performs the migration on the customer's behalf.

What it is

White-glove migration is the premium-tier alternative to self-serve CSV import. The vendor's success team (or a partner) maps source-system data, transforms it, imports it, and validates the result — usually for free if the customer is on a paid plan above some threshold. White-glove is what makes consolidation realistic for time-poor teams.

Why it matters

Removing the migration burden is often the difference between a customer signing and stalling. For teams replacing Notion or HubSpot, the migration looks scarier than it is.
