Sign up at layerui.io and you'll be prompted to create your first workspace during onboarding. Give it a name, invite teammates, and you're ready. Each workspace is fully isolated — your data, your team, your rules. You can create additional workspaces from the workspace switcher in the top-left corner of the app.
The Layer UI AI assistant is built into your workspace. It can summarise tasks, draft messages, generate CRM notes, and answer questions about your data. Just open the command palette (⌘K / Ctrl+K) and start typing, or use the AI panel in any module. The assistant only has access to your workspace data — it cannot read other workspaces.
Yes. Layer UI supports CSV import for CRM contacts, tasks, and inventory records. Go to Settings → Import & Export → Import and follow the field-mapping wizard. We also support direct imports from Notion (via exported CSV/Markdown) and standard task formats. Need help with a bulk import? Email support@layerui.io.
The free tier gives you full access to core features for up to 3 seats: tasks, CRM (up to 500 contacts), team chat, and basic AI. Storage is limited to 1 GB. No credit card required.
Go to Settings → Billing → Upgrade Plan. Choose Starter ($19/seat/mo) or Pro ($39/seat/mo). Billing is handled by Stripe — we never store your full card details. Upgrades take effect immediately and you are billed pro-rata for the remainder of the current billing cycle.
Yes. Cancel from Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Your workspace remains active until the end of the current billing period, then downgrades to the free tier. No cancellation fees. Your data is retained for 30 days after downgrade before permanent deletion.
No. The Layer UI iOS app does not use Apple in-app purchases. All billing is managed through our website at layerui.io. This means you get the same price regardless of platform and can manage your subscription from any device.
Go to Settings → Team → Invite Members. Enter the email addresses of your teammates and assign them a role. They'll receive an invitation email with a join link. Invited members do not require a separate account if they're new to Layer UI — they'll create one during the join flow.
Layer UI has three roles: Owner (full control, billing access), Admin (manage members and workspace settings, no billing), and Member (standard access to all modules). Owners and Admins can restrict specific modules per member from Settings → Permissions.
Free accounts can create 1 workspace. Starter accounts can create up to 3. Pro accounts have unlimited workspaces. Enterprise plans support custom multi-workspace configurations. Each workspace is billed independently based on its seat count.
Go to Settings → Import & Export → Export. You can export your entire workspace as JSON or export individual modules (CRM, Tasks, Inventory) as CSV. Exports are generated instantly for small workspaces and via email link for larger datasets.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm by typing your email. Deletion is permanent — all workspace data, contacts, tasks, and files are removed within 30 days. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by law. If you're the workspace Owner, all member data in that workspace is also deleted.
All Layer UI data is stored in the United States on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit. Backups are encrypted and retained for 90 days. We do not store data in the EU by default, but enterprise customers can request an EU data residency option. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
