Weekly Standup

Definition: A short recurring meeting (or async post) where team members share what they did, what's next, and any blockers.

What it is

Weekly standups are the most common operating cadence for small teams: a 15-minute (live or async) check-in covering accomplishments, plans, and blockers. For remote teams, async standups in a chat channel often replace the live version, with AI summarization rolling up the team's status into a single readable post.

Why it matters

Even small teams need a recurring rhythm; standups are the lowest-overhead version. AI summarization makes async standups actually scannable.
