SearchAction Schema
Definition: A Schema.org markup that lets Google render an in-results search box for your site.
What it is
SearchAction is a Schema.org structured-data type that signals to Google that your site has its own search. When properly implemented, Google may render a search box directly in the search results below your site's blue link, letting users query your site without first clicking through.
Why it matters
SearchAction is one of the easiest 'rich result' wins — implement once in JSON-LD and it's eligible site-wide.
Layer UI in context
layerui.io implements SearchAction in its WebSite JSON-LD, pointing search queries at /help?q={search_term}.
